Jessica Ibarra: My political ideology belongs to the Disaffected Democrats. A political influence of mine is Beto O'Rourke. I recently became really interested in politics due to this past year's Senate election in which I voted in. I am taking this class because not only do I require it, but I am also very interested in how the system works in the state of Texas. I hope to gain further knowledge about the Texas government that I might not have known previously and also become more aware of what is currently happening today in the world of politics. I did relatively okay on the Civic literacy test but much worse on the Current Events test due to my lack of being informed with today's news. I really hope to change that. (:
